Method
1. Decide on the design of your necklace. We have created a necklace with heart charms in white with flowers of black and white. These can be any colour and the necklace can be made without any charms etc. The instructions here make a 35cm long necklace.
2. Start with cutting off 60cm from the nylon thread provided in the Ultimate Jewellery Making Kit. The cord is stretchable so it is a good idea to give a bit of a stretch along the whole length before starting, otherwise it will be stretchy in some areas and tight in some areas in the necklace.
3. Start by tying a jump ring to one end of the cord. To do this simply create 3 knots with the nylon thread until you are sure it is secure. Then insert a silver bead next to the jump ring. Secure it by knotting it to the jump ring. This is one end of the necklace.
4. Now insert 5 beads of any colour of your choice - we have chosen white, but this can be any colour of your choice. This colour will be the base colour of your necklace. You may choose to put 2 or 3 colours.
5. Next, create a beaded flower. We have made a black petalled flower with a white centre, but this depends on your design. To start, thread 4 “petal” beads and the “centre” bead.
6. Next, insert the cord back into the 1st petal bead. This is the 1st black bead here. You should now have a floral shape.
7. To finish, add the remaining 2 “petal” beads and insert the cord into the 4th petal bead. Your beaded flower is finished! Simply add the base coloured beads to lock it.
8. Now repeat steps 3 to 6 depending on the number of flowers you want. Here we have made 3 flowers before adding a heart charm. This is optional and depends on the design.
9. Add you charms and designs until your design is complete.
10. Check if the length of the necklace is correct and not too short or long for your taste.
11. Add you charms and designs until your design is complete.
12. Check if the necklace is perfect by wearing it and hooking the clasp onto the jump ring. Your beaded floral necklace is now ready!
